Hi, From all the info I've learnt, it seems you should place your rudder in the center of the boat. I know you can "expand" your inventory by carrying crates, but it's still not as good as a decent RAFT, with a motor AND sail, and lots of storage shelves, AND if you happen to run out of fuel (on a raft) the sail will get you home, whereas if you happen to run out of fuel on the gyro, you are SOL.
